And we are off …

We broke ground for our new education building last Sunday. It was a wonderful evening or prayer, fellowship and celebration with delicious Handel’s ice cream.

Psalm 127:1-5 (ESV) 1 Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain. 2  It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep. 3  Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. 4  Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. 5  Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.

I wanted to list the specific petitions that we prayed corporately so you that you might continue to pray individually.

Construction:

Pray for the safety of the construction workers and that a strong relationship might be formed between the builder and the church body.

Pray building team: Dwain, Barbara, Ellen, Ken, & Scott.

Pray for the funding of the building.

Ministry:

Pray for the children.

Pray for the youth.

Pray for the Adult Sunday School.

Pray for the fellowship of the believers.

Pray for this building to be a tool to reach our community.

Pray for the teachers.

Pray that we would have the same Spirit that led Solomon that unless the Lord build’s this house, we are building in vain.

Sola Deo Gloria
