A Great Way to Serve!

Would you like to serve your church family by participating in our worship service? We need your help. We are looking for people to read scripture during the worship service. Many of our older members remember when this was a common practice at our services. There are only three requirements to participate:

• You must be a member in good standing at Providence Baptist Church.
• On your own, you must familiarize and practice the pronunciation of the passage before the service. You will be notified via email by Friday before the Sunday you read.
• Prior to the reading, please say ‘This is God’s Holy and Inerrant word’. Please only read the passage, and do not comment on it. You may confuse the congregation should the preacher use the passage in a different way than your comments. After the reading, please say ‘You may be seated.’

If you would like to be a reader, please sign up by replying to pbcoffice1355 at gmail.com. You will be sent a ‘readers policy’ to look over. If you agree, sign the document and return. After that, you will be assigned a Sunday to read. Thank you so much for serving your family in this way.
